I’m representing a leading Solar IPP that’s delivering some of the largest and most impactful solar projects in the UK. They’re seeking a Project Development Manager to take flagship projects through the DCO (Development Consent Order) planning process for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs).
This is a senior, high-impact role where you’ll be driving the planning journey for utility-scale solar farms from the point where land rights are secured - Heads of Terms and Options agreed - through to successful consent.
Your mission:
 * Lead and manage large-scale solar projects through the full DCO planning process.
 * Oversee all technical, environmental, and planning workstreams required for NSIP applications.
 * Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams including planning consultants, environmental specialists, and legal advisors.
 * Manage stakeholder engagement and public consultation programmes.
 * Maintain programme, budget, and risk oversight for your projects.
 * Ensure compliance with all relevant UK planning and environmental legislation.
What we’re looking for:
 * Proven track record of taking infrastructure or renewable energy projects through the UK planning process - experience of the DCO process desirable but not a necessity
 * Strong understanding of NSIP planning requirements, environmental impact assessment (EIA), and stakeholder management.
 * Experience managing multi-disciplinary project teams and external consultants.
 * Excellent organisational, communication, and negotiation skills.
 * Passion for delivering clean energy at scale.
