About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 2 or Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Milton Keynes. You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
* Assist in the delivery of personalised learning plans (EHCPs)
* Support pupils with autism, ADHD, speech & language needs, or SEMH
* Help manage behaviour in a positive, supportive manner
* Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals
* Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Requirements
* Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
* Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
Desirable Skills
* Experience with PECS, Makaton, or Team Teach
* Understanding of EHCP processes
* Previous experience in a UK primary or secondary school
