Multi Specialist Advocate (6 month Fixed Term Contract)

Were looking for aMulti Specialist Advocateto join our dedicated Liverpool team. This is a vital role for someone who is professional, resilient, and deeply committed to supporting peoples rights and choices. Youll work independently with individuals facing a range of complex needs, providing both statutory and non-statutory advocacy across various settings in the Liverpool area.
Purpose of the Role
To deliver one-to-one advocacy to individuals in Liverpool under the Mental Capacity Act, Mental Health Act, and Care Act, ensuring their views and rights are fully represented in line with legal requirements and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
DeliverIndependent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA), Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA), andCare Act Advocacy.
Providestrength-based short-term advocacy and complaint advocacyin line with clients instructions.
Offernon-instructed advocacyfor individuals who lack capacity to instruct.
Conductinitial assessments and risk assessmentsfor new referrals.
Deliver advocacy onmental health inpatient wardsand incommunity settings.
Maintain accuratecase recordsand documentation using our case management system.
Stay updated onadvocacy best practices, emerging case law, and changes in legislation.
Signpostclients to other relevant services where appropriate.
Supportclient exit plansand collect service monitoring data.
Assist with theinduction, supervision, and supportof staff, students, and volunteers.
Foster strongworking relationships with professionals and organisations, including other advocacy services.
Represent andpromote the advocacy serviceacross different forums and events.
Work towards andachieve the Level 4 Independent Advocacy Practice (City & Guilds)qualification.
Meet individual and teamKey Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Support generalservice administration and contingencywork as needed.
