Finance Assistant

Location: Based in Harrogate with home working
Salary: up to £28,000 dependent on experience

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Bank reconciliations
2. Accounts payable including processing invoices, statement checks & preparing payment runs
3. Council tax reconciliations
4. Preparing payroll schedules ready for payment
5. Intercompany recharges B2B
6. Supporting month end processes including calculation and processing of accruals, prepayments and deferred income
7. Working collaboratively with the management accountants function and credit control to investigate and resolve all accounts receivables queries
8. Proactively and professionally manage supplier and resident queries by telephone or email
REQUIREMENTS AND THE ROLE
1. Organised with a positive and can do working attitude
2. Professional, confident and diplomatic when liaising with others
3. Strong and confident telephone etiquette
4. Accurate, efficient and organised with the ability to prioritise tasks as needed
5. Proficient in Excel and other MS office applications
6. You are highly motivated and understand the importance of adhering to deadlines
7. Excellent customer relations skills, a sense of humour and plenty of energy and enthusiasm
8. Previous handling of sensitive information and compliance with GDPR
9. A great team player who takes ownership and responsibility
10. A logical thinker who can spot errors and resolve issues
11. To ensure confidentiality and security of all business, client and customer documentation/information
12. Ability to work well under pressure
