We are seeking a Landscape Site Supervisor/Working Foreman to join our team at LDC Ltd based in Guildford, Surrey. LDC has a history of working on some of the largest and most interesting private landscape/garden projects in the UK and have won some of the most prestigious awards in the industry including BALI and RHS Chelsea Flower Show. We are a multi-faceted landscape company working on all elements of landscaping including:
* Groundworks, earthworks & grading
* Soft landscaping - all aspects inc cultivation, topsoiling, planting & plant procurement
* Irrigation and land drainage
* Paving, driveways and hardstandings
* Retaining & freestanding walls
* Fencing
* Timber structures and minor building structures
* Play equipment
* Sports and recreational facilities
* Water features
* Lighting (external)
* Landscape maintenance
* Design & Build
We require a working Landscape Site Supervisor/Working Foreman to implement our construction projects, a key role reporting to the Senior Contracts Manager. You should have previous experience as a hands-on craftsman working to a high level of detail.
The ideal candidate will be skilled in all aspects of hard and soft landscaping, including setting out from plans, taking site measurements, groundworks, drainage, stonework, paving, wall construction, carpentry and horticultural works etc.

Person Requirements:
The candidate will ideally have some, but not necessarily all, of the following:
* Practical experience within the landscape construction industry.
* Supervisory experience.
* SSSTS
* Appropriate CSCS/CPCS competency qualifications.
* A formal qualification in horticulture (preferred).
* Full current driving licence.
* Experience in setting out by dimensions/coordinates.
* Understanding of buried services avoidance including CAT scan and ability to read service drawings. Valid CAT scan certificate an advantage or training will be required.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Excellent organisational, communication and planning skills.
* Experience of supervising teams and coordinating the work of others.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Results driven.
* Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
This is a varied and interesting role. It will require a high degree of technical knowledge and competency with the ability to problem solve. You will also have a strong track record in managing a team and be able to communicate professionally and effectively with a range of partners, suppliers and both commercial and domestic clients.
You willl need a full clean driving licence and have a current CSCS card. It would be advantageous if you were also SSSTS or SMSTS qualified.
