Manager, User Experience (Fixed Term) role at N-able

What You'll Do
* Hands on leadership, acting as a player-coach, where you will work directly with the Adlumin Product team, including PM, Architecture and Engineering.
* Support the continued growth of our Design System and Common Experiences across our portfolio of products whilst managing a team of Researchers and Designers, providing guidance and supporting their professional development and providing leadership, direction, and mentorship for your distributed team of UX Designers and Researchers.
* Serve as the primary UX specialist responsible for Adlumin & Design System.
* Develop and maintain an ongoing UX strategy for Adlumin with plans to continually enhance the Adlumin UX function.
* Build strong relationships with Engineering, Product Management and Architecture team members and leaders.
* Contribute to the larger user experience vision while advocating for user-centered design thinking and promoting UX best practices.
* Foster a user-centered design culture within N-able and advocate for a continuous discovery mindset to ensure product releases succeed through proper prioritization and efficient design processes.
* This is an 11 month fixed-term maternity cover. The role will require 3 days a week in our hybrid Edinburgh hub.
What You'll Bring
* Ideally 5+ years of experience in UX design, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role within a B2B SaaS environment.
* In-company UX design experience for SaaS organizations rather than only design consultancy experience.
* Knowledge of cyber security tools, data protection and SaaS products is a plus.
* Ability to lead a cross-functional team by driving toward shared goals/outcomes and influence outcomes by aligning teams toward a common vision with a track record of managing or leading UX Design or UX Research teams.
* Professional portfolio of work demonstrating excellence in digital product design/research and solid execution of user-centric design processes.
* Passionate advocate for the user, committed to creating simple user experiences from complex technical problems.
* Proficiency in design tools such as Miro, Qualtrics, Figma, Jira, Salesforce, Pendo or similar.
* Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills with the ability to convey complex interaction concepts clearly across audiences and organizational levels.
