To support the Finance Manager in delivering accurate and timely financial information by preparing and analysing management accounts and financial reports. The Company Accountant will also drive improvements in financial processes and controls, provide analytical support for business decisions, and oversee the Finance Assistant. Key Responsibilities · Preparing weekly and monthly management accounts for multiple profit centres, ready for review by the Finance Manager. · Producing and analysing KPIs to support business decisions. · Analysing financial performance against budgets and forecasts. · Preparing commercial reports for leadership on a weekly, monthly and annual basis. · Working collaboratively with the operations team to prepare detailed costings vs budget. · Responsibility for preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, for review by the Finance Manager. · Analyse financial data and provide insights into trends, variances, and key performance indicators. · Assisting in the preparation of the annual budgets and forecasts. · Providing back-up for the preparation of monthly payroll. · Providing holiday cover for the Finance Manager. This is not an exhaustive list. You may also be required to carry out any other duties as required by the business that you are qualified/trained in that meet the requirements of this role. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise | Timely submission of weekly and monthly management accounts Accuracy of financial reporting and variance analysis Completion rate and accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations Timeliness and quality of budget and forecast submissions | Quality and impact of financial insights provided to management Payroll backup and holiday cover effectiveness Development and performance of Finance Assistant Essential: CIMA/ACCA qualified or equivalent professional qualification Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar accounting role Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting principles High proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proven ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines Proactive, problem-solving attitude Desirable: Experience with ERP systems (preferably Business Central) Previous experience in a multi-site or multi-profit centre organisation Experience providing line management or supervisory support Job Benefits · A competitive salary in a growing company committed to our people. · A competitive holiday allowance. · Company pension scheme. · Enhanced family friendly policies. · Employee Assistance Program · Lifestyle & Leisure Discounts: Discounts for gym, leisure, cinema, shopping and many more… · Employee Life Insurance. · Bike2Work scheme.
