Our client, a well-established business based in Kettering, is looking for a Part-Time Finance Associate to support their day-to-day financial operations. In this role, you'll play a key role in analysing financial data, assisting with reporting, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage sales ledger and perform credit control duties.
Complete weekly bank reconciliations and manage banking transactions effectively.
Support month-end processes, including account reconciliations and necessary adjustments.
Ensure prompt and accurate processing of financial transactions across multiple areas, including VAT, payroll preparation, and purchase ledger activities.
Generate and distribute reports on outstanding invoices.
Participate in the team phone rota, assisting with incoming calls as required.
Carry out weekly payment runs in line with internal schedules.
Keep client "How-To" documentation current and accurate, reflecting process updates.
Oversee the client email inbox
responding to queries, taking appropriate action, and maintaining proper filing practices in a timely manner.
Skills and Experience required:
Previous experience in a similar finance role, with hands-on involvement in a range of transactional accounting tasks.
Proficient in using Microsoft Excel within a financial setting, with a solid understanding of spreadsheets for reporting and analysis.
Comfortable using accounting software, ideally with practical experience in platforms such as QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage.
Strong numerical and written communication skills, equivalent to GCSE Grade 5 or above in Maths and English.
Competent in general MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
Part-qualified AAT, CIMA, or ACCA, or qualified by relevant work experience.

Competitive salary (dependant on experience)
Hours: 3 full days a week - term time only
Holidays: 23 days plus statutory days (pro rota) (can buy and sell holiday)
