Job Purpose: The Resource Coordinator is responsible for the effective planning, scheduling, and coordination of engineering resources across various workstreams throughout the UK and Europe. This includes collaborating closely with the Sub-Contracting Team, Country Managers, and Engineering Managers to ensure optimal resource allocation. Additionally, the role supports the planning and management of all engineer training and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) initiatives. The post holder may be required to undertake other duties relevant to the scope of the role as needed. Main Responsibilities: Resourcing Coordination: Collaborate with project teams to identify and plan resource requirements for large-scale and complex project rollouts. Assess skill sets needed for new workstreams and work in partnership with the Sub-Contracting Team, Engineering Managers, and Head of GSD to ensure all CPD and training needs are addressed. Support the implementation of CPD plans in alignment with Engineering Managers. Allocate engineering resources to FLM and project tickets using the Field Service Lightening (FSL), including the creation of non-project-specific tickets (e.g., training, shadowing, meetings). Maintain up-to-date records in the FSL system, including tracking engineering absences as communicated by Engineering Management. Schedule engineers for jobs by efficiently matching internal and external resources based on skills, location, cost-effectiveness, and availability. Manage customer access assets (cards, key lists, etc.): allocate, apply, deactivate, and update records as needed. Liaise with the Service Assurance team monthly to monitor and address access card allocations and usage. Lead regular resourcing calls with Engineering and Portfolio Managers in the UK and arrange calls for Europe and other global regions as necessary. Assist the Resourcing Executive Lead in designing and managing the engineer on-call and M1 escalation rotas within FSL. Coordinate closely with Engineering Managers, Program Managers, and the Field Operations Director to continuously assess and improve resource planning. This includes evaluating internal and external resource utilisation, forecasting future needs, and identifying upskilling opportunities. Training Coordination: Support the maintenance and accuracy of the skills matrix within FSL in collaboration with key stakeholders. Plan and coordinate training rollouts with Engineering Managers. Schedule training sessions as agreed in collaboration with HR. Work with Engineering Management to ensure appropriate shadowing and hands-on training opportunities are available for both FLM and project-related tasks. Asset Coordination: Create and manage accurate records of access cards and keys within FSL. Coordinate asset provisioning for new starters, including ordering OBASS cards, setting up online learning platforms, and arranging relevant onboarding and inductions. About You Competency: Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications: Minimum Education level: 5 GCSEs or similar to include Maths and English. Proven track record within an administration role dealing with clients on a daily basis Previous scheduling experience is an advantage. Excellent standard of written and spoken English Excellent telephone manner Must be well organized and able to prioritise and manage multiple requests and activities concurrently Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to work with, and support a diverse team of professionals A self-starter, requiring little or no supervision with a positive attitude and outlook and ability to learn new systems quickly Ability to take ownership of an issue and see things through to the end PC literate, especially Microsoft Office suite Working Environment The role will be office based at our Magor office.
