With apprenticeships at the heart of our business, we have taken the exciting step of establishing our own in-house training centre to deliver the electrical apprenticeship programme.
We are now seeking an Electrical Tutor to join our training team. This role is open to either an experienced tutor or a qualified electrician looking to take the next step in their career.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
This is a new and exciting position for someone who is motivated, enthusiastic, and keen to make a real impact on the next generation of electricians. You should have:
* Strong knowledge of electrical standards and regulations.
* A passion for teaching, mentoring, and supporting apprentices.
* Experience as a tutor (preferred) or the drive to transition into a teaching role.
* An understanding of safeguarding responsibilities within education.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Deliver classroom and workshop-based training to new and existing apprentices.
* Support the design and adaptation of training programmes to meet apprentice and business needs.
* Deliver both apprenticeship modules and commercial training courses.
* Work closely with the Apprenticeship Team to ensure learners achieve milestones and develop practical skills.
* Play a pivotal role in shaping apprentices’ learning experience and career development.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
* Minimum Level 3 Electrical Qualification.
* Level 5 Teaching Qualification.
* TAQA or equivalent Assessor Qualification.
* IQA Qualification.
* Demonstrated experience in teaching and/or assessing.
* Ability to deliver training to groups of learners effectively.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Understanding of safeguarding, health & safety, and compliance in an educational setting.
* Proficiency with IT and interactive learning technology.
* Flexible, adaptable, and committed to improving learner outcomes.

OUR OFFER:
* Contract: Full-time, Permanent
* Hours: Contractual hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day plus 1 hour for lunch. (Core hours to be worked to suit curriculum delivery).
* Bonus: Company profit share bonus based on 31st December year end paid as a percentage of salary the following June.
* Pension: Employer 5%, Employee 4%
* Bonus days holiday: For each year worked up to 5 additional days (After 1 year service). Sell or carry up to 5 days each year.
* Annual pay review: March for April salary.
* Training: Company funded career development training.
