Maintenance Planning Engineer

Salary: £48,000 - £50,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, Day Shifts
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Planning Engineer to lead and deliver all maintenance planning functions across our site. This role is pivotal in driving plant performance, improving operational efficiency, and supporting our sustainability goals. You will be responsible for the development and execution of maintenance strategies that ensure maximum plant availability and reliability, including infrastructure and energy reduction initiatives.
* Key Responsibilities
Planning & Reliability Leadership
* Develop and implement maintenance planning processes in line with the Aggregates Management Handbook and company standards.
* Lead and manage the Reliability Team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
* Collaborate with plant management to prepare and develop the annual maintenance budget.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in maintenance planning within a heavy industrial or aggregates environment. Strong understanding of CMMS systems and reliability engineering principles. Excellent organisational and leadership skills. Commitment to safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
Documentation & Investment Support
Ensure technical files, drawings, procedures, and documentation are up to date. Support the development and delivery of investment plans and participate in design reviews focused on MTBF and maintainability. Identify and implement methods to enhance equipment reliability, availability, and maintainability. Conduct and support FMEA and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) in collaboration with inspectors and production teams. Drive improvements in preventive maintenance planning and lean spare parts management.
Performance & Improvement
Maintenance Systems & CMMS
Act as key user for the site's maintenance management system (CheckProof), ensuring accurate master data and technical documentation. Input and manage predictive and preventive maintenance plans. Maintain and improve PM checklists for maintenance and operations teams.
