About the role
We are currently seeking an EHCP Coordinator to join our Foundation Learning and Additional Learning Support department at The Bedford College Group.
Responsibilities
* Student Support Delivery - Ensure high-quality support for students with EHCPs receiving High Needs Funding, including mentoring and transition assistance.
* Annual & Termly Reviews - Lead and prepare statutory annual reviews and termly progress meetings using a person-centred approach to track and support student achievement.
* Curriculum Collaboration - Maintain strong links with curriculum areas to share EHCP outcomes, conduct observations, and contribute to performance monitoring and self-assessment.
* Staff Training & Awareness - Deliver ongoing training and awareness activities to curriculum staff to enhance understanding of EHCP and HNF student needs.
* Compliance & Development - Uphold statutory duties in safeguarding, EDI, health & safety, and engage in continuous professional development relevant to the role.
Qualifications & Experience
* Qualifications & Training - Holds A Levels or equivalent, GCSEs in English and Maths (A-C), and graduate or vocational training in Education, Health or Social Sciences.
* SEND & EHCP Expertise - Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice 2014, experience supporting students with EHCPs and HNF, and leading annual reviews and multi-agency meetings.
* Education Sector Experience - Proven background in further education settings, working with diverse learners with disabilities, and collaborating effectively with teaching and support teams.
* Professional & Interpersonal Skills - Skilled in report writing, safeguarding, communication, IT systems, and maintaining professional boundaries with students and colleagues.
* Adaptability & Commitment - Demonstrates flexibility, resilience under pressure, commitment to continuous development, and alignment with college values of Student Focus, High Performance, and Respect.

Salary & Benefits
Salary is between £29,870 and £39,696 per annum DOE and Qualifications, 27 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, People’s pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.

37 hours per week - 52 weeks per year

The Bedford College Group was formed in 2017 following the merger of Bedford College and Tresham College and is now the largest provider of education in the South East Midlands, with over 15,000 students passing through our doors each year.
