The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Designer to join the design team, playing a pivotal role in delivering high-quality façade design solutions. This position includes responsibility for leading process development within a small but busy drawing office and contributing to continuous improvement across design workflows.
This is a highly hybrid/remote role, offering flexibility for the right candidate while maintaining strong collaboration with internal teams and key project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and deliver complex façade design packages from concept through to construction, ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory requirements.

Drive and oversee design process improvements and standardisation within the drawing office.

Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior designers and CAD technicians.

Coordinate effectively with internal teams, external consultants, suppliers, and contractors.
*
Ensure all design documentation is delivered accurately, on time, and in accordance with project requirements.
*
Participate in internal design reviews and support quality assurance procedures.
*
Contribute to innovation in systems, materials, and methods across the design function.
Requirements
*
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in façade design, ideally within a subcontracting or specialist contractor environment.
*
In-depth knowledge of curtain walling, glazing systems, and aluminium façades.
*
Strong CAD proficiency (AutoCAD essential; Revit or 3D modelling experience desirable).
*
Experience implementing or influencing design process change.
*
Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
*
Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities in a remote/hybrid working setup.
*
Right to work in the UK – visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Desirable
*
Familiarity with systems such as Schüco, Reynaers, or similar.
*
Understanding of CWCT standards, thermal modelling, and structural considerations.
