Job title: CVRM Technician Location: Preston Salary: Up To £48500 Shifts: Monday to Friday (11:30am till 8:00pm) Reporting to: Depot Manager As a CVRM HGV Technician, you will carry out inspections, servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of HGVs and trailers. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring vehicles are safe, roadworthy, and compliant with industry regulations, while minimising downtime for our customers. CVRM Technician Duties: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HGVs and trailers. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults. Complete MOT preparations and ensure vehicles meet DVSA standards. Carry out safety checks in line with company and legal requirements. Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults and apply effective solutions. Maintain accurate service records, job cards, and compliance documentation. Work to deadlines to minimise vehicle downtime. CVRM Technician Skills: Qualified HGV Technician / Mechanic (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent). Proven experience in CVRM (commercial vehicle repair & maintenance). Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of HGV systems, including engines, brakes, suspension, and electrics. A current HGV Licence (Class 1 or 2) desirable but not essential.
