As
HR Transformation Lead
you will play a critical leadership role in delivering a major organisational transformation within our HR function. This 12-month fixed-term contract is a unique opportunity to shape and implement a new HR operating model, lead strategic recruitment into newly defined roles, and oversee the successful rollout of a new HR system.
You will provide high-impact leadership to a team of three HR Business Partners, ensuring they are supported and aligned to deliver consistent and effective people solutions across the business during a period of significant change. Working closely with senior stakeholders and project sponsors, you will ensure the transformation is delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with the company values and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the end-to-end implementation of a new HR structure, including overseeing recruitment into newly defined roles.
* Manage and support the successful implementation of a new HRIS (Human Resources Information System), ensuring adoption, training, and operational readiness.
* Provide strategic leadership and coaching to 3 HR Business Partners, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities.
* Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, supporting change management, workforce planning, and organisational design.
* Oversee the transition from legacy processes to streamlined, system-enabled HR operations.
* Develop and implement appropriate metrics and reporting tools to measure the effectiveness and progress of the transformation.
* Ensure compliance with employment legislation and HR best practice throughout all phases of transformation.
* Champion a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the HR team.
Person Specification:
Essential:
* Proven track record of leading HR transformation projects, including team restructures and system implementations.
* Strong strategic HR leadership experience, ideally in complex, fast-paced environments.
* Demonstrable success in managing and developing HR Business Partners or similar HR teams.
* Experience managing change and navigating resistance in a constructive and inclusive manner.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
* Strong project management capability, with a focus on delivery and outcomes.
* Sound knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
* Experience with HRIS implementation (e.g., Workday, iTrent, or similar).
* Public sector or housing sector experience.
