Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing care to individuals in various settings, including nursing homes and hospice care. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through attentive and personalised support.
Duties
* Provide high-quality personal care to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort.
* Monitor and record clients' health status and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
* Assist with medication management and ensure adherence to prescribed treatment plans.
* Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
* Implement behaviour management strategies for clients with specific needs or challenges.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care tailored to each client's needs.
Requirements
* Previous experience in senior care, patient care, or childcare is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with first aid practices and emergency response protocols is essential.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
* A background in nursing or hospice care is advantageous but not mandatory.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
* Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping others are crucial attributes for this role.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by client needs.
