Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) to support a major fire remediation and sprinkler system upgrade project across two busy residential blocks. This role is vital in ensuring strong communication, seamless access coordination, and resident wellbeing throughout works taking place both within communal areas and inside occupied homes.
This project involves multiple home visits and periods where sprinkler systems will be temporarily drained and reinstated within a strict 24-hour window for life-safety compliance. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring access is achieved, residents are fully informed, and all safety requirements are met.
Key ResponsibilitiesCommunication & Engagement
* Act as the main point of contact for residents throughout the project.
* Provide clear, timely updates on work schedules, processes, and potential disruptions.
* Arrange and attend tenant meetings, briefings, and consultations.
* Issue letters, notices, and information leaflets regarding works and access requirements.
Tenant Support & Welfare
* Support vulnerable residents, ensuring their needs are considered and met.
* Help residents understand the nature and purpose of the works.
* Ensure safeguarding protocols are followed at all times.
Managing Access & Appointments
* Coordinate and manage access requirements for contractors.
* Schedule appointments and ensure residents are aware of upcoming visits.
* Minimise “no-access” events through regular engagement and reminders.
Complaint & Issue Resolution
* Log, monitor, and resolve resident concerns and complaints.
* Mediate between residents and contractors where necessary.
* Ensure residents feel heard, respected, and supported.
Monitoring Project Impact
* Identify and report risks that may affect residents (noise, dust, disruption, etc.).
* Conduct home visits to assess conditions and resident satisfaction.
* Record and escalate any safeguarding or health and safety concerns.
Administration & Reporting
* Maintain accurate records of interactions, complaints, and access arrangements.
* Produce updates and progress reports for management and project teams.
* Assist with collecting resident satisfaction feedback.
Collaboration with Project Teams
* Work closely with site managers, contractors, and housing teams.
* Attend project meetings to provide updates on resident-related matters.
* Offer insights and recommendations to support improved service delivery.
