Job description\n\nOverview\nEvoke Staffing are seeking reliable Class 2 (Cat C) HGV Truck Drivers to join our team for Various different roles. The ideal candidates will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a commitment to delivering exceptional service, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the integrity of the cargo.\n\nDuties\n\n * Operate various class 2 Trucks to transport goods to various locations as per delivery schedules.\n\n * Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.\n\n * Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.\n\n * Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transit.\n\n * Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.\n\n * Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of oneself and others on the road.\n\n * Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients.\n\nExperience\n\n * Proven experience as a Class 2 driver or in commercial driving.\n\n * A valid Full UK driving licence is essential for this role.\n\n * A valid Digi Tachograph Card is essential for this role.\n\n * A valid CPC card is essential for this role.\n\n * Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.\n\n * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and team members.\n\n * A commitment to safety and attention to detail in all aspects of driving and delivery operations.\n\nIf you are passionate about driving and delivering exceptional service, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity as a Class 2 Driver within our team.\n\nINDHGV\n\nJob Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, Temp to perm\n\nPay: £14.75-£17.00 per hour\n\nExpected hours: 40 – 50 per week\n\nBenefits:\n\n * Free parking\n\n * On-site parking\n\nSchedule:\n\n * 10 hour shift\n\n * 12 hour shift\n\n * 8 hour shift\n\n * Day shift\n\n * Monday to Friday\n\n * Night shift\n\n * Overtime\n\n * Weekend availability\n\nWork Location: In person
