Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Design & BIM Technician to join their team and play a key role in bringing exceptional projects to life. You will support projects from initial survey through to site delivery. Your Role Survey & Planning * Carry out measured building and site surveys, translating information into accurate BIM models. * Prepare planning drawings and support planning application submissions. Design & Technical * Develop and maintain BIM models throughout concept, planning, technical design and delivery stages. * Produce drawings, schedules and visualisations to support client decision-making. * Generate quantities and material take-offs directly from BIM. * Specify products and materials aligned with the design ethos and project requirements. Project Delivery * Assist in procurement of sub-contract packages, preparing enquiries and assessing returns. * Compile and issue clear, practical site information packs for construction teams. * Provide technical support during the build to ensure design intent is met. Collaboration & Client Care * Work closely with in-house designers, construction teams, consultants and suppliers. * Liaise directly with clients, presenting drawings and technical information clearly. * Contribute to design reviews and help resolve queries efficiently. What We’re Looking For * Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD. * Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, planning policy and construction detailing. * Experience preparing planning submissions, technical drawings and tender packages. * Ability to extract accurate quantities and schedules from BIM. * Strong communication skills with clients and office/site teams. * An organised, proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple projects.
