SAIC is seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer to support our AFCC team in expanding our C5ISR, Cloud, and data initiatives globally. The role focuses primarily on Foreign Military Sales (FMS) but also encompasses Direct Commercial Sales (DCS).
As Systems Engineer, you will be working with an agile, fast paced team focused on increasing data throughput, integrity, security, as well as availability of enterprise software solutions. As a geopolitical, military expert in the Middle East region, you will also support and be involved with international customer engagement activities to include outreach, budget and market analysis, and current technical state of mission partner C5ISR systems.
This position is a casual/hourly hire with approximately 35- 40 hours/month.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support development and implementation of international strategies, with a focus on the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, specifically the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
* Collaborate with Account and Business Development (BD) leadership to engage international military and political stakeholders.
* Act as a liaison with international customers, particularly the KSA Ministry of Defense (MoD).
* Support development of BD and capture plans for new opportunities arising from security agreements between the U.S. and KSA.
* Support the development and evolution of international customers, particular the KSA Ministry of Defense, IT architecture, balancing on-premises and cloud solutions for optimal performance and cost savings to the customer.
* Ensure the seamless integration of new software and hardware into the existing IT landscape.
* Support regular reviews of systems and processes to identify opportunities for cost-saving, improved performance, and system consolidation.
* Identify teaming partners for prospective opportunities.
* Assist in creating proposals and marketing communications targeted at international customers, including print, media engagements, and conference participation.
* Provide occasional consultation services to other business groups, Enterprise Business Development, or the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
Qualifications
Technical Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree and 18 years, or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree.
* Established subject matter knowledge and experience with relevant stakeholders in GCC countries and KSA MoD.
* Ability to build relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
* Deep understanding of FMS, DCS, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and cultural norms of customer countries.
* 8 to 14+ years’ experience with GCC international customer systems engineering and software development.
* Must be comfortable researching various enterprise IT related technologies.
Travel Requirements:
* To be determined and pending budget availability. Anticipate support will be required for customer meetings in the Northern Virginia and Washington DC area as well as potential international travel to GCC nations.

Target salary range: $200,001 - $240,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
