We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at the Milestone Hotel in Peterborough. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who is looking to develop their career and progress into a Head Chef role in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Chefs in the day-to-day management of kitchen operations.
* Prepare and present dishes to the highest standards of quality and consistency.
* Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, ensuring efficient service and teamwork.
* Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
* Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and assist with ordering supplies.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times.
Requirements:
* Essential: Food Safety Level 2 certification.
* Desirable: HACCP qualification (not essential).
* Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
* A genuine passion for food quality and professional development.
