Job Opportunity: Senior Care Assistant ColchesterBrighthire Recruitment is advertising on behalf of our client, who is looking for an experienced Senior Care Assistant to join their dedicated team within a small, family-run residential care home near Colchester.The home provides residential, dementia, respite, and palliative care and is currently rated Good by the CQC. With a strong focus on person-centred care, the service is committed to creating a warm, welcoming, and homely environment.The home supports up to 28 residents and has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality care through a dedicated and supportive staff team.________________________________________Key Details:Permanent position36 hours per weekFlexibility required to work both days and nightsShift Times:07:45 20:0019:45 08:00Paid breaks are included in all shifts.Pay:£14.82 per hourOvertime paid at time and a halfChristmas & New Year paid at double time________________________________________Duties & Responsibilities:Organising and managing day-to-day shift responsibilitiesDispensing and administering medicationLiaising with GPs, District Nurses, and other healthcare professionalsSupporting staff with all aspects of personal care, including assisting residents with mealsCarrying out regular wellbeing checks on residentsCompleting all required paperwork and care documentation accurately________________________________________Candidate Requirements:Must hold a Level 3 qualification in Health & Social CareMinimum of 1 year experience working as a Senior Care AssistantFull driving licence and access to a vehicle is essentialMust be flexible to cover both day and night shiftsDue to the preferences of many of the residents, this role is open to female applicants onlyWe do not offer sponsorship for this role.
