The role
As a Senior Project Accountant, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This is an exciting opportunity to assist the finance and senior management team to implement changes within the business unit to improve effectiveness and efficiency, with a focus on continual improvement of processes. A key element of this will be a focus on increased cost controls and management reporting.
Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for the preparation of monthly financial reporting routines and providing financial expertise and cost control guidance to the project teams, as well as playing a supporting role in the production of new contractual reports required by our customer.
1. Prepare project status reports, support project teams to maximise profitability and control expenditure.
2. Prepare contractually required reports and maintain reporting systems.
3. Support the production of monthly financial reports.
4. Support development and enhancement of internal reporting
5. Support cost saving financial analysis and assist with monthly forecasts and budget preparation
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Senior Project Accountant:
6. Excellent working knowledge of Excel.
7. Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
8. Sound technical knowledge.
9. Experience of IFS and / or Business Analytics, is an advantage but, not essential.
Qualifications for the Senior Project Accountant:
10. Qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA.
