Our client, a leading global law firm, is seeking an exceptional Associate or Senior Associate to join their highly regarded Competition team in London.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will play a key role in advising multinational and UK businesses on complex UK and EU competition law matters, coordinating transaction filing strategies across multiple jurisdictions, and representing clients before regulatory authorities.
Responsibilities
* Advise clients on UK and EU competition law matters
* Coordinate transaction filing strategies across multiple jurisdictions
* Represent clients before the Competition & Markets Authority and European Commission
* Guide clients through phase 1 and phase 2 merger control procedures
* Advise on foreign direct investment filings and national security matters
* Represent clients in antitrust investigations, market investigations, and sector enquiries
Requirements
* Qualified lawyer with experience in UK and EU competition law
* Strong technical skills and knowledge of competition law and merger control procedures
* Excellent communication and client relationship skills
* Ability to manage complex matters and coordinate across multiple jurisdictions
* Collaborative and proactive approach with a passion for finding creative solutions
