Fantastic opportunity to join FM Conway as an Assistant Buyer!
FM Conway is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Buyer to join our Procurement team. This role will focus on targeting key spend areas across the business and raising tenders to suppliers to reduce costs. You will actively seek new supply chain partners from both the UK and overseas, as well as report and monitor spend trends. This is a full-time, permanent role based out of our Head Office in Sevenoaks, Kent.
The Duties Of The Assistant Buyer Role Will Include
* Raising and implementing supply chain agreements with new and existing suppliers/subcontractors while managing our supply chain database.
* Liaising with different divisions within the business to assist in reducing costs and ensuring the company is buying at the most competitive rates available.
* Producing system reports and monitoring procurement liabilities for the business.
* Negotiating fixed-rate deals with suppliers to obtain the most suitable and cost-effective options.
* Negotiating at tender stage, from procurement to project execution.
* Drafting, preparing, and presenting monthly spend reports to the main board of directors.
What skills and experience do you need?
We are looking for an Assistant Buyer with previous experience in a commercially focused organization who can demonstrate appropriate use of quality, risk, and health & safety procedures. You should have excellent communication skills with the ability to manage relationships at all levels within the organization.
