Job purpose
Based at Dundee House, you will work full time, 37 hours per week on a fixed-term basis until August 2028.
This includes attending off-the-job learning at Dundee and Angus College one day per week during term time for two years.
The Modern Apprentice Scheme aims to target high youth unemployment in the Dundee area. Funding for training is only available for candidates aged 16 to 19 or disabled/care-experienced applicants under 30. Please ensure you meet these criteria if applying for a Modern Apprentice position.

You will learn and assist with providing architectural consultancy services to the Council, its departments, and external public agencies, under the guidance of the Architectural Services Manager.
You will assist with the design, administration, and coordination of architectural services for construction projects from inception to completion.
You will help represent Architectural Services on construction and maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with standards for maintenance, design, materials, and workmanship.
You must have a minimum of 2 Highers, including English and Maths or Physics, or equivalent qualifications.
You should demonstrate the ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and possess good administrative, organizational, and computer skills, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft 365.
You must be capable of undertaking site surveys, which may include working at heights and in confined spaces.
You should be committed and enthusiastic about completing the full Modern Apprenticeship and achieving HNC Built Environment (SCQF Level 7) and SVQ 3 CCO: Site Technical Support (SCQF Level 6).
