Towerview Care is recruiting for a Senior Nurse/Clinical Lead to join our team at Burton, Bridge, Trent Court for 42 hours per week working day shifts.
The role includes:
* Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating plans of care
* Delivering care
* Participation in the recruitment of clinical-facing staff
* The performance management of nursing staff as part of reflective practice
* Formulation of nurses' personal development plans
* Leadership for the team on a shift-by-shift basis
* Supporting nursing staff in collating information, analysis, and action plans
* Working proactively with the Matron to drive forward standards of nursing practice across the home and ensure safeguards are implemented to minimise harm to self or others
Key Responsibilities:
* To effectively lead the shift ensuring the allocation of staff is based on clinical need
* The Senior Staff Nurse will be responsible for providing, receiving, and acting upon highly complex, sensitive, and contentious information from various sources including key stakeholders, both internal and external
* The Senior Staff Nurse is clinically accountable for the clinical care of the People We Support at Towerview Care. They have the authority to ensure the best use of resources necessary to provide quality care. They will provide guidance, mentoring, and hands-on support to prevent or remedy shortcomings in practice and care delivery.
* The Senior Staff Nurse is responsible for developing and implementing quality standards across the service by strengthening professional clinical leadership at team and service area levels.
* They will work with the Matron, qualified nurses, and carers to monitor, challenge, and improve the quality of care, driving service improvements and aiming to make Towerview Care a Centre of Excellence.
* The Senior Staff Nurse will ensure effective communication pathways exist for People We Support, their carers, and the multidisciplinary team.
* They will advise on professional and practice issues in consultation with the Matron, providing professional advice to nursing and non-nursing staff across Towerview Care.
* The Senior Staff Nurse is expected to be a superuser for clinical systems.
* Participation in the care home on-call service may be required.
About you:
We are looking for someone who is warm, friendly, and empathetic to the needs of the people we support. You will have good organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and the capacity to build rapport to positively influence others. Comfort with using technology is essential.
Experience in a similar environment is preferred but not essential, as we will provide training and support to develop your knowledge and skills.
