About Us & The Role
Claverdon Primary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team in a mornings-only role, which also includes Midday Supervisor (MDS) duties. This part-time position totals 23.75 hours per week, with working hours from 8:30 am to 1:15 pm, Monday to Friday.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support children across the classroom, offering help to individuals and small groups, assisting in lesson delivery and promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment. You will work closely with the class teacher to implement strategies tailored to pupils’ individual needs, helping them progress academically, socially and emotionally.
Key Requirements
We are looking for someone with a patient, empathetic and nurturing approach, who can build strong relationships with pupils and colleagues. You should be organised, flexible and able to adapt to the changing needs of the school day. The ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents and external professionals is essential, along with effective communication skills.
As part of your role, you will also support children during the lunchtime period as a Midday Supervisor, helping to ensure a safe and enjoyable break time experience.
