About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a compassionate and experienced Family Support Worker to support families, children, young people, and vulnerable individuals in the Weston-super-Mare area.
This role focuses on providing practical, emotional, and person-centred support to help families overcome challenges, improve wellbeing, build resilience, and promote independence. You will work closely with individuals experiencing social, emotional, behavioural, or practical difficulties, helping them access appropriate services and achieve positive outcomes.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with backgrounds in support work, supported living, residential care, youth work, family intervention, or community support.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide practical and emotional support to families, children, and young people
2. Support service users in developing independence, life skills, routines, and confidence
3. Build positive professional relationships based on trust, empathy, and respect
4. Work with families facing social, emotional, behavioural, or practical challenges
