To operate as a quality control inspector B stamp support to achieve maximum effectiveness and efficiency
KEY DELIVERABLES Quality
Carry out inspection activities throughout the manufacture process
Highlight any non-conformities found during inspection
Assist in quality gate preparation
Call quality gates for clean room and ensure quality gates are acceptable
Able to read and understand production drawings
Good understanding of processes, procedures and specs
Ensure teams are aware of procedures and procedural changes
Certify own work and train others where applicable. Ensure each team member certifies own work.
Ensure all phases / operations are fully confirmed, prior to release of parts from area
Ownership of First Article Inspection process is carried out where applicable by the appropriate person with the relevant authorization for 5020 applicable tasks
Ensure customer protection is in place for all customer reported, non–conformance and Customer Protection boards are updated for internal and External customers
Ensure formal handover process is followed between shifts
Enact the QN (Quality Notification) Process
Be first point of contact for all customer Ops quality queries
Assist in the raising of concessions
Constant drive for a focus on concession elimination
Environment, Health & Safety
Ensure compliance to the Company's Health & Safety policies within the working area, reporting all incidents and near misses as per the company's procedure
Support necessary activities to ensure site ISO 14001 and ISO 18001 accreditation is maintained
Ensure a good standard of housekeeping is maintained in all work areas
Delivery
Achieve local program / plans / strike rates and work to list adherence targets and review program daily
Achieve customer improvement targets
Support Operations with daily/weekly/monthly delivery schedules
Process Improvement
Assist the Section of PSQDIP board eg involvement schemes, excellence awards and skills matrix for the team ensuring right people, right skills and right standard work/WI's
Assess local area in terms of lean and use appropriate lean tools to achieve targeted improvement
Ensure daily / weekly check sheets are completed and any issues are communicated at start of shift meeting
Assist in communicating inspection feedback to ME and Operations to reduce potential non-conformities
Raise MEQN's to optimise sap planning process
QUALIFICATIONS
Ideally a recognized apprenticeship or equivalent experience
Composite experience would be preferable but not essential
