Our client is seeking an experienced and inspiring Head of Design & Technology to lead a creative and well-established DT department in a forward-thinking secondary school in Gloucester. The Role Providing strategic and day-to-day leadership of the Design & Technology department Teaching DT across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 depending on experience and specialism Leading curriculum development, assessment, and quality assurance Managing and supporting DT staff and technicians Promoting high standards of health & safety across workshops and classrooms Driving creativity, innovation, and consistently strong pupil outcomes Contributing to wider school leadership and development initiatives The Ideal Candidate Will Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) A degree in Design & Technology or a related subject Proven experience teaching DT at KS3 and KS4 Previous leadership or responsibility within a DT department Strong knowledge of workshop practice, CAD/CAM, and health & safety The ability to lead, motivate, and support colleagues effectively A professional, organised, and forward-thinking leadership style School Information This creative secondary school in Gloucester is known for its supportive leadership, positive staff culture, and commitment to a broad and balanced curriculum.
