Bank Medical Secretary
Rowley Hall Hospital is seeking a bank Medical Secretary to join the Medical secretarial team on a flexible, ad-hoc basis.
Key Responsibilities
* Working in a team based secretarial service providing support for each other and ensuring continuity of the service.
* Act as the first point of contact on behalf of the consultants and deal effectively with all queries from GPs, patients and other departments.
* Manage clinical dictations on a digital system as required.
* Prioritise your own workload to meet the demands of the service.
* You will benefit from a varied surgical caseload which will broaden your skills and experience as well as support and training opportunities.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Previous secretarial/administration experience
* Previous audio typing experience – must be able to type 20 letters per day
* Excellent communication & customer service skills
* Ability to prioritise your own workload and meet deadlines
* Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft packages
* Previous medical secretarial experience and knowledge of medical terminology
