Mech Mechanic Contract: 24 Months Based: RAF Marham Hourly Rate: £22.57 PAYE or £29.78 Umbrella inside IR35 37 Hours per week Monday – Thursday 7am – 5pm Overview BAE Systems are seeking an experienced and dedicated F-35 Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join their dynamic team. Reporting to the F-35 Aircraft Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate will undertake a range of maintenance activities on F-35 aircraft or components. Skills A minimum of 2 years' experience working within and applying EASA/MRP Part 145 regulations. A logbook demonstrating breadth of experience, currency, recency of skills, knowledge, and authorities for working on aircraft types or in workshops. Proven experience working on complex military aircraft programmes. Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship, ideally in Aeronautical Engineering, or equivalent military qualifications. Academic qualifications: City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance, or equivalent. The Job Conducting all maintenance activities in accordance with Approved Technical Information and relevant risk assessments. Ensuring all maintenance activities are appropriately documented, and airworthiness records are maintained. Compiling reports, identifying any issues, and escalating as necessary. Complying with the Organisation's Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) and associated procedures and standards. Applying human factors and error management principles within the Safety Management System. Ensuring maintenance activities are compliant with the Continuing Airworthiness Assurance (Quality) Management system. Undertaking a range of maintenance tasks on F-35 aircraft, including role changes, component removals, inspections, repairs, modifications, fault rectifications, replacements, and functional/system tests.
