Responsibilities

As a Community Wellbeing Worker, you will play a role in delivering Family Hub and active services across universal provision.

* Link individuals to professional and community‑based support.
* Plan, coordinate and deliver targeted and bespoke early intervention support for children, young people and families across a variety of venues in Rutland.
* Identify early and support children, young people and families with emerging needs.
* Work closely with Living Well Rutland teams, Libraries, Adult & Community Learning and partners including Social Care, Family Help, SEND, health and voluntary sector organisations.
* Contribute to performance monitoring, evaluation and continuous service improvement.
* Support parenting courses, early‑years sessions and sessions for young people.


Qualifications

* Relevant experience of direct work with children, young people and families, including both 1:1 and group work.
* Experience of creativity and innovation.
* Knowledge of safeguarding legislation, Early Help thresholds and multi‑agency working.
* Experience of working with a wide variety of agencies effectively to improve outcomes for children and families.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* A commitment to promoting equality, inclusion and positive outcomes for children and families.


Work Conditions and Requirements

You will work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, when the community needs support. A full UK driving licence is required to travel around the county. The post holder will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, the cost of which is paid by the council. Interviews are scheduled for 08 June 2026 (subject to change with notice).
