We’re looking for a compassionate, resilient, and dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in a nurturing and inclusive primary school in Corby/Kettering.
About the Role:
This is a deeply rewarding position where you’ll work closely with one pupil, helping them feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. You'll play a vital role in their academic and emotional journey — building trust, managing behaviours positively, and encouraging their development every step of the way.
️ Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored 1:1 behavioural and emotional support
Help implement effective behaviour intervention strategies
Support emotional regulation and social skill-building
Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies
Build strong, trusting relationships with the child and their family
✅ What We’re Looking For:
Experience supporting children with behavioural or emotional needs
A calm, consistent, and empathetic approach to challenging situations
Excellent communication and de-escalation skills
Resilience, patience, and a commitment to inclusion
Team Teach or similar training is a bonus (but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
