Interim Accounts Assistant - Accounts Receivable / Sales Ledger
Location: Dudley (On site, 5 days per week)
Pay Rate: £16 per hour
Employment Type: Full time, 3 month interim contract
We are seeking an immediately available candidate with previous experience as an Accounts Assistant/Finance Assistant and experience in Accounts Receivable/Sales Ledger, for a 3 month assignment with a finance team in a healthcare services business that provides residential care, nursing, and support for individuals with complex conditions.
As an Interim Accounts Assistant with a focus on Accounts Receivable (AR), you will be responsible for the effective processing and maintenance of AR transactions, supporting the company's commitment to quality care and service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Raise and issue sales invoices accurately and promptly
2. Monitor and chase outstanding debts in a professional manner
3. Ensure timely allocation of cash and payments
4. Assist with reconciliations and resolving queries
5. Update and maintain AR ledgers and records
6. Support the month end process and provide cover for ad-hoc finance admin tasks as required
The Ideal Candidate:
7. Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
8. Strong focus on Accounts Receivable/credit control processes
9. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
10. Confident communicator able to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
11. Intermediate Excel skills and experience with accounting software
12. Able to thrive in a fast-paced, regulated sector.
13. Healthcare experience advantageous but not essential
14. Reliable, proactive and ready to start at short notice
