Job Title: Operations Manager

Overview
We’re working with a growing, security-focused business that is looking to appoint an Operations Manager to take ownership of day-to-day engineering operations across a multi-site environment.
This is a key hire for the business, offering the opportunity to play a central role in shaping operational strategy, improving processes, and driving performance across field teams.
The position will suit someone from a security, facilities, or engineering background who is comfortable leading teams in the field while also engaging closely with clients and internal stakeholders.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing field-based engineering teams, ensuring smooth delivery across customer sites, and maintaining high standards of service and operational performance.
Alongside day-to-day delivery, the business is looking for someone who can bring ideas, challenge current ways of working, and help evolve how operations are structured as they continue to grow.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day field operations across multiple sites
* Lead and coordinate engineering teams, ensuring effective workload planning and delivery
* Oversee site activations for new and existing customers
* Act as a key point of contact for clients, building strong working relationships
* Take ownership of team management including performance, development, and disciplinary processes
* Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of engineering staff
* Monitor operational costs and ensure efficient, commercially sound delivery
* Ensure compliance, service quality, and consistency across all operations
* Identify and implement improvements to processes, systems, and ways of working
About You
* Proven experience managing field-based or engineering teams
* Background within security, facilities management, or a related engineering environment
* Strong multi-site operational experience
* Comfortable in client-facing roles with strong stakeholder management skills
* Experience managing team performance, recruitment, and day-to-day operations
* Commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and costs
* Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
