About the Opportunity
We are recruiting an experienced Ward Manager on behalf of a leading specialist mental health care provider in the West Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior CAMHS professional seeking a rewarding agency assignment with scope for extension.
The Role
As Ward Manager for a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) General Adolescent Unit, you will:
* Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team delivering specialist mental health care to young people
* Provide visible, hands-on leadership that drives clinical excellence and patient safety
* Oversee day-to-day ward operations, ensuring compliance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements
* Champion professional development across your team and foster a recovery-focused, therapeutic environment
* Ensure consistently high standards of patient care and positive outcomes
What We're Looking For
Essential:
* Current NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) registration
* Minimum 2 years post-registration experience in mental health nursing with CAMHS specialism
* Minimum 2 years in a senior nursing leadership role (Deputy Ward Manager, Clinical Team Leader, or equivalent)
* Right to work in the UK
Desirable:
* Proven track record of effective team leadership in a CAMHS inpatient setting
* Strong understanding of safeguarding, clinical governance, and best practice in adolescent mental health
