We wish to appoint a passionate and inspiring Subject Leader of Physics to join a forward thinking and successful faculty with a team of specialists including a Curriculum Leader, Teaching and learning Lead and Subject Leaders for Biology and Chemistry. ‘A’ level science is taught in all three specialisms and the department offers a range of extra-curricular activities, both in and out of school.
The science faculty is a key curriculum area of the school where results are significantly above the national average in both combined and individual sciences. As a large and progressive faculty there is a suite of ten science laboratories. There is also a team of technicians who support the area from a central requisition hub in the science area.
We are looking for a candidate who is inspiring, dynamic and has a passion for teaching science to join our team and continue to grow a joy of learning in all our students. You will be a subject specialist with experience at teaching Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 and a record of raising standards. This full time post would suit an experienced teacher looking for a new challenge or someone looking for their first leadership role. This position has a start date of either January 2026 or April 2026.
