As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance of fixed plant and production machinery on a customer site,ensuring that machinery is maintained to high standards and delays to production are minimised
Skills & experience:
-Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
-mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise
-Respond and assist in the correction of plant breakdowns
-Diagnose and repair faults, ensuring all machinery is compliant with relevant safety standards
-Mechanical, welding, and fabrication skills (stick welding as minimum)
-Experience in medium or heavy industry
-Previous experience in a plant fitter role is highly advantageous
-Familiarity with a broad range of plant equipment, including granulators, shredders,balers -training will be provided
Essential Requirements:
-Full, valid UK driving licence
-Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage time effectively
-Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
-Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From £15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
