Job Description:
At Launchpad, we assess software performance in real-world conditions by working directly with our vehicles. We also develop and maintain tooling to support the delivery of quality code to vehicles, and we then leverage this knowledge to create virtual scenarios in the cloud, enabling us to test the quality of our software at scale. As a member of Launchpad, you will acquire a comprehensive understanding of the system’s components and interactions. As a lead, there is a particular focus on identifying areas for improvement and driving strategic enhancements to advance our technical capabilities. We are a team of problem solvers and robotic enthusiasts committed to perfecting our software in both real and virtual environments to realize our vision for Universal Autonomy.
Take a lead role in:
1. Owning, maintaining, and delivering the roadmaps for the initial Autonomy Concept.
2. Ensuring alignment of the roadmaps with broader business objectives.
3. Collaborating with customers, stakeholders, and leaders to identify needs and workflows.
4. Organizing and planning team activities, delivering milestones and goals.
5. Reporting and documenting team activities to track progress and maintain best practices.
6. Engaging with other teams for prioritization and issue resolution.
7. Supporting the Integration Lead with technical expertise and domain knowledge.
8. Leading a cross-functional team to operate, test, and debug our autonomy system end-to-end.
9. Designing testing scenarios based on customer workflows.
10. Assessing software performance using cloud-based simulation tools.
11. Testing cutting-edge code and preparing software versions for customers.
12. Analyzing data to identify and resolve issues.
13. Driving strategic improvements to enhance capabilities and quality.
14. Maintaining agility to resolve issues promptly.
Requirements
* Experience with autonomous vehicles, ADAS, or similar robotics systems.
* Experience managing engineering teams involved in product development or services.
* Proven ability to foster cross-department collaboration.
* Strong analytical skills for working in fast-paced, complex environments.
* Ability to manage stakeholder communication and risk across domains.
* Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
* Decision-making based on quantitative and qualitative data.
* Ability to switch contexts quickly and stay focused across multiple workstreams.
