Kenny Recruit have partnered with an experience-based company to find a Financial Controller on a permanent basis. Currently operating across 5 continents, the company are scaling rapidly and require a strong financial foundation to support sustainable global growth. You will be number two within finance looking after a team of 10 who are based offshore. This position is central to the global finance operations, focusing on financial reporting, compliance, governance, and the implementation of scalable systems. The role is suited to a hands-on leader with multinational experience and deep technical knowledge of tax and regulatory matters.
This is a remote roll with a meet up once a month with the CFO who is based in London.
Pay: £80,000 - £95,000 per annum (dependant on experience) Location: Remote with a monthly meet up in London Working hours: 9:00am - 5.30pm (flexible hours are offered)
Financial Reporting & Governance
Own the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial statements. Assisted by the entire finance function.
Ensure compliance with local GAAP and IFRS across all jurisdictions.
Lead statutory audits globally, acting as key contact for auditors and external advisors.
Develop and maintain robust internal controls and risk management processes.
Maintain documentation for financial policies and procedures.
Act as financial gatekeeper—controlling spend, authorisations, and working capital.
Oversee global corporate tax compliance, with a strategic focus on group structure optimization.
Manage transfer pricing policies to ensure alignment with OECD guidelines and mitigate tax exposure.
Ensure indirect tax (e.g., VAT, sales tax, GST) compliance across all active markets, including impact assessments and process design.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of country-specific tax regimes and their operational implications.
Help the team optimize AR/AP cycles.
Ensure financial compliance in new markets.
Lead the setup of bank accounts, entities, and payroll schemes globally.
Navigate regulatory hurdles (e.g., permanent establishment, indirect tax).
HR & Payroll Compliance
Ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing across multiple countries.
Monitor HR-related compliance risks (e.g., Collaborate with HR on policies, employee benefits, and contract governance.
Private Equity-Specific Responsibilities
Support investor relations with clear financial narratives.
Drive data hygiene, diligence files, and audit trails to support M&A or exit.
Interface with debt providers on financial health and projections.
Manage and develop a small but globally distributed finance team.
Act as a business partner to senior leadership, providing financial insights and recommendations.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, HR, Tech, and Operations to ensure alignment and compliance.
ERP & Systems Implementation
Understand the impact to the implementation of a new ERP system (led by CFO), ensuring a deep understanding of global reporting and operational processes.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in financial systems, reporting, and data integrity.
Build automation for reporting, reconciliations, and tax filings.
ACCA, ACA, or equivalent accounting qualification.
~10+ years of experience in financial control or senior finance roles in multinational environments.
~ Proven experience in tax compliance (corporate and indirect) across multiple jurisdictions. Strong governance, audit, and compliance background.
~ Experience working in the travel, hospitality, mainly consumer services sector a plus.
