Health Visitor (Wirral)

Fixed term contract until 25 March 2027.
As a member of the 0-19 Service at Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust, you will work as part of an integrated team delivering the Healthy Child Programme. You will be responsible for managing a caseload of universal and Partnership Plus families and contributing to public health activities within a geographical area.
You will act as a key stakeholder in the safeguarding of children, working collaboratively with other agencies to meet their needs. You should have an understanding of Clinical Governance, Risk Management, Audits and relevant Professional Codes.
Main Duties
Work as part of an integrated 0-19 Team and support the full delivery of the Healthy Child Programme.
Manage a caseload of universal partnership and Partnership Plus families.
Engage in a range of public health activities with individuals, groups and communities.
Collaborate with other agencies to safeguard children.
Person Specification
Qualifications & Training
* RN (Adult or Child/RSCN) or RM
* BSc/Public Health Nursing – Health Visiting or equivalent
* V100 Nurse Prescriber
* Motivational Interviewing trained
* Solihull Approach trained
* Promotional Interviewing trained
Experience & Knowledge
* Experience of managing a Health Visiting caseload
* Evidence of continuing professional development
* Experience of leading assessment, planning and evaluation of care
* Experience of integrated working
* Ability to use email, internet and word processing software
* Sound knowledge of safeguarding issues
