Mechanical and Electrical Manager\nHybrid (Office/Home) | £50,000-£55,000 | 35 Hours per Week\nJoin a Global Charity Making a Lasting Impact\n\nClient Details\n\nWe're seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Manager to join our Property team at a large, respected global charity. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to lead essential M&E programmes that support the charity's Group 5-Year Investment Plan - improving the safety and quality of our residential portfolio across the UK.\n\nDescription\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nDevelop and deliver M&E work programmes in line with strategic investment goals.\n\nLead procurement, contract management, and delivery of M&E projects through contractors or specialist consultants.\n\nEnsure building safety compliance, including all statutory and regulatory requirements (e.g. Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021).\n\nManage M&E servicing and inspection schedules, ensuring robust quality assurance, certification review, and post-inspection sampling.\n\nCollaborate with the Planned and Cyclical Team to set budgets and ensure value for money.\n\nOversee all M&E contractor performance and contracts, ensuring best practice and clear procurement strategies.\n\nAdvise the Head of Property and Property Managers on M&E-related issues emerging from planned or responsive maintenance works.\n\nProfile\n\nWhat We're Looking For:\n\nA recognised professional qualification in engineering (mechanical or electrical).\n\nMinimum 5 years' experience commissioning and delivering M&E programmes in residential settings.\n\nStrong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021, and applicable M&E safety regulations.\n\nProven ability to manage contractors, budgets, and programmes in a compliant, cost-effective manner.\n\nA team player with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.\n\nJob Offer\n\nWhy Join Us?\n\nMake a real difference in people's lives as part of a mission-driven organisation.\n\nEnjoy flexible hybrid working, generous annual leave, and a supportive team culture.\n\nBe part of a charity that values innovation, safety, and professional development
