Infrastructure Engineer – 3 months – Hybrid - Driffield
My customer is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join their team and help maintain core infrastructure operations.
This position is centred on day-to-day support and BAU (Business as Usual) activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting key business systems, services, and end users.
Skills & Experience required from the Infrastructure Engineer:
Must have extensive exposure to the Microsoft stack
Must have experience supporting business infrastructure.
Must have working knowledge of virtualisation (e.g., VMWare & Hyper-V)
Skills within Cloud and Networking are desirable but not essential.
Familiarity with ITIL processes and working in a structured support environment.
Key Responsibilities for the Infrastructure Engineer:
Deliver day-to-day support for both on-premises and cloud infrastructure environments.
Handle BAU requests, incidents, and service tickets promptly and professionally.
Manage and maintain the current IT infrastructure, including cloud and virtualised systems.
Support and administer backup and recovery processes to ensure business continuity.
Track system performance, diagnose problems, and apply effective fixes.
Work with cross-functional teams to assist in project delivery when needed.
Create and update documentation for configurations, procedures, and best practices.
The Infrastructure Engineer is required to be onsite, 3 days a week in Driffield
