Overview
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all warehouse and logistics operations. This role ensures accurate inventory management, timely and efficient order fulfilment, and smooth transportation coordination. The Warehouse Manager will also drive continuous improvement initiatives to minimize costs, enhance service levels, and support overall business growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Warehouse Operations: Manage daily operations, including receiving, storage, order processing, and dispatch.
* Inventory Management: Implement systems and practices to maintain accurate stock levels while minimizing shortages and overstock.
* Logistics Optimization: Develop and execute strategies to streamline inbound and outbound logistics, reducing costs and improving turnaround times.
* Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners to ensure timely deliveries and high-quality service.
* Transportation Management: Oversee transportation arrangements, including carrier selection, route optimization, and freight cost control.
* Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall logistics performance.
* Team Management: Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff (including freelance or contract staff), ensuring safe and productive operations, as the business develops.
* Secondary Operations: Manage the embroidery requirements, either through outside supply or utilising our internal machine. Ensure in close co-ordination with the Commercial team, that we meet customers expectations.
Skills & Qualifications
* Proven experience in warehouse or logistics management.
* Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and logistics processes.
* Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work alone and self-motivate. Ability to manage workloads, hitting our delivery promises, while hitting our service promises on secondary embroidery work.
* Strong communication and coordination abilities.
* Proficiency with warehouse management software and reporting tools.
