Role Overview
This Band 7 post offers an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced nurse to work as an educator in Palliative and End of Life Care across CDDFT. This post is required to cover Monday‑Friday 09:00‑17:00.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, facilitate and deliver high‑quality training and educational programmes, including planning, session preparation and liaising with the Training and Development Department.
* Work confidently both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, building effective relationships with peers, colleagues and stakeholders.
* Support the Palliative Care Consultants, the wider workforce and stakeholders across the trust.
* Provide constructive feedback to learners, give and receive feedback, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
* Lead by action and inspire others, acting as a role model for best practice in education and clinical care.
* Adhere to a flexible approach, enacting new ways of working/learning and embedding practice within the service.
Key Qualifications and Requirements
* Degree level education in a relevant subject.
* Extensive working knowledge of palliative care and a passion for developing practice in end‑of‑life care.
* Demonstrable specialist experience, supported by theory, to lead and facilitate education.
* Excellent communication skills, strong organisational ability and a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
* Capability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
* Ability to produce all certificates essential to the person specification to complete pre‑employment checks.
* Willingness to work 09:00‑17:00 Monday‑Friday.
