Dental Clinical Supervisor opportunity – Irlam, Greater Manchester
Are you a motivated and enthusiastic dentist interested in supervising and mentoring dental students in clinical dentistry within a primary care dental practice?
We are pleased to offer a new position for a Dental Clinical Supervisor in Irlam, Greater Manchester. This role involves providing clinical supervision to dental undergraduates from the University of Manchester Dental School, during their placements at Bupa Dental Care practices.
The role supports the development of future dental professionals and involves overseeing dental treatments and clinical learning in a practice setting.
The position is employed, with a salary for 37 weeks during the academic year. No work is required during holidays.

Responsibilities
* Supervise and assess undergraduate dental students during their clinical placements
* Provide constructive feedback using the University of Manchester online assessment tools
* Offer academic and pastoral support as an academic advisor or Student Development Record reviewer
* Participate in clinical and non-clinical student assessments
* Respond to feedback from students and peers
* Attend staff training sessions organized by the university or dental school
* Flexibility to work in other clinics to cover student clinics when needed
* Assist with patient care delivered by students and manage treatment expectations
Qualifications & experience
* BDS or equivalent qualification
* Full General Dental Council registration, with no ongoing investigations
* At least 3 years of postgraduate dental experience
* Teaching or mentoring experience is desirable but not essential
* Mandatory training in BLS and safeguarding
