Role: ERP Specialist – Epicor
Rate: £700 p/d (Via Umbrella)
Location: Lincoln HQ – Hybrid Model - 1 day p/w on site
Duration: 6 months initial
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Owner/Manager with deep expertise in Epicor to lead our clients ongoing ERP migration project. This role is critical to the success of our transition from a legacy system to Epicor.
The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert (SME) in Epicor with a proven track record of managing complex software implementations and a keen analytical ability to diagnose and solve system integration issues.
Responsibilities
* Analyse the root causes of the partial migration failure, including data integrity issues, process gaps, and technical misconfigurations. Develop and own a comprehensive product roadmap to guide the successful completion of the migration, focusing on remediation and a phased rollout.
* Serve as the primary SME for Epicor, providing expert-level guidance on its capabilities, best practices, and limitations. Translate business requirements into technical user stories and epics for the development team, ensuring they align with Epicor's core functionalities and architecture.
* Own, prioritize, and manage the product backlog for the migration project and subsequent phases. Define clear acceptance criteria and work with the development team to ensure deliverables meet business and technical requirements.
* Act as the key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and successes. Facilitate workshops and discussions to gather requirements and validate solutions.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to develop training materials and plans to ensure successful user adoption of the new Epicor system.
Experience Required:
* Experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role, with a strong focus on enterprise-level software.
* Deep subject matter expertise in Epicor is non-negotiable. The candidate must have hands-on experience with Epicor implementations, migrations, and its core modules (e.g., Financial Management, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing).
* Proven ability to diagnose and solve complex technical and business process issues, particularly those related to system migrations and data integrity.
* Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), and data migration processes.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
