Our client, a specialist in Precision Engineering, is seeking a skilled Assembly Engineer to join their growing team.
Assembly Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:
* Assemble components and sub-assemblies following engineering drawings, work instructions, and procedures.
* Familiar with staking bearings, Heli-Coils, valve assembly, and sealing with PR1770 sealants.
* Conduct self-inspection and testing of finished products.
* Ensure all assemblies meet quality standards and specifications.
* Assemble according to kit Kanban requirements.
* Identify and rectify assembly defects.
* Maintain a clean, organized work area (5C).
* Follow safety regulations and procedures.
* Assist in maintaining tools and equipment.
* Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
* Perform bearing, bush, valve, and fastener assemblies.
* Conduct self-inspection and testing of finished products.
Ideal Candidate:
* Proven experience as an assembler or similar in an engineering environment.
* Strong understanding of mechanical assembly and ability to read 2D drawings.
* Experience with sub-assembly of machine components to aerospace standards, e.g., staking bearings, Heli-Coils, valve assembly.
* Pressure testing experience is advantageous.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
* Relevant engineering qualification (desirable but not essential).
Working Hours & Benefits:
* Full-time, permanent role.
* 8 am – 5 pm, with flexible working options.
* 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays.
